An audio drama

about esoteric history, popular myths, and the human stories that bind the absurd together.

Hotel Daydream began as a creative outlet: the answer the question “What if various myths and abstract ideas interacted outside of the stories we know about them?” What happens outside of what’s canon?

The result is a sprawling series of letters read by the single thread tying these wildly different storytelling traditions together: a narrator who is as much a cut out of a Wes Anderson film as he might be a manager at Fawlty Towers. Yes, Lionel Autuary does his best to keep everyone happy but not even this astute concierge can juggle the many needs of myths, maths, and monsters without making a few mistakes.

Steven Cousler

Never content to pursue one thing, Steven Cousler often finds himself falling down more rabbit holes than a Lewis Carroll heroine. An autistic writer who no one ever taught to stop asking why, his love for story and the world around him is buoyed by the communities kind enough to support him.

He has been published in Not Deer Magazine, Black Shadow Lit., and The Poetry Question. He is also the co-creator of The Distant Silence Radio Hour along with his brother. He currently teaches technical writing and composition at New Mexico State University.
